The African Cup of Nations Ghana 2008, undisputedly
remains the greatest sporting spectacle on the
continent, was held on 19 October 2007 in Accra,
Ghana with the 16 finalists divided into four
groups of four teams. The seeded teams were
host country Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt and Tunisia.
The group winner qualifies automatically for
the finals in Ghana where they will be joined
by the top three runners-up from the groups
each made up of four teams.
